DVG is proud to announce its active participation in the SWIPA program (Subsurface Well Integrity, Plugging, and Abandonment), a prestigious Centre for Research-based Innovation appointed by The Research Council of Norway for 2020–2028.
SWIPA focuses on developing innovative and cost-efficient methods for plugging oil and gas wells while ensuring long-term well integrity. With over 3,000 wells on the Norwegian continental shelf requiring plugging, SWIPA’s efforts aim to reduce the environmental footprint and cut costs for the industry, with a goal of halving expenses associated with well abandonment.
In collaboration with leading partners such as Archer, Huntsman, and SINTEF, DVG contributes its expertise and Enviseal technology to this groundbreaking initiative. Together, we are shaping the future of well plugging with sustainable solutions that meet the evolving demands of the industry.
